Welcome to our Holiday Cottage in Trefin. Situated in the pretty Village of Trefin in Pembrokeshire, Bwthyn Alarch (Swan Cottage in English) is a Traditional Welsh Cottage which retains much of its original character.
The cottage offers lovely accommodation for up to four people but is equally suited to accommodating a couple and provides every modern comfort that you would expect from a four star graded self catering cottage.
It was built during the 19th century as possibly a mill workers house. The local mill had been in operation for some 500 years before it closed in 1918. The ruins of the mill can be found heading out of Trefin towards Porthgain - the mill stone still remains inside of the ruins.
Our holiday cottage sits on a country road near the heart of Trefin and it is only a short walk to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which offers great walks either towards St Davids or in the other direction to Strumble head and then on to Fishguard.
Trefin is a small quiet Village of around a hundred houses with friendly locals, a pub and a cafe (both less than 500 meters from the cottage).
The Village is 8 miles from St David's, 9 miles from Fishguard and the famous Sloop pub at Porthgain is just 2.5 miles away along a quiet country road.
Our cottage provides a lovely base for a holiday in this beautiful part of Pembrokeshire.
